Existing Patients

Location: Most visits are currently being conducted by phone or Zoom. For those who prefer a face-to-face meeting, Dr. Settle is in the office 1-2 days per week.

How to reach us: We check email, Patient Ally portal messages and voice mail messages from 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday. If you leave a voice mail message, Sara (9-5 M-F) will generally return your call the same day (unless she is waiting on information from Dr. Settle). Sara handles scheduling, refill requests, payments, billing statements, lab results, lab kit orders, and supplement sales. She is also the point person for all clinical questions and relays information back and forth between clients and Dr Settle. Sara can be reached at 303-975-6142.

Urgent matters during business hours: The fastest way to get a message to Dr. Settle during the work day is through Sara at (303) 975-6142. Sara can typically arrange a same or next-day 15-minute phone appointment for pressing matters.

Urgent matters outside of business hours: Call 303-861-7048 for instructions on how to reach Dr. Settle or the on-call doctor.

After hours: Dr. Settle can be reached by pager after hours on weekdays for emergencies. Call the main office number to hear instructions that may vary week to week. Weekend emergency calls are taken by a doctor from the psychiatry call group. Call the main office number to hear instructions about how to reach the on-call physician on weekends and holidays.

Refill requests: Please use your pharmacy’s automated system to request refills on existing medications. That is the fastest way to get a routine refill approved. If you need a dose change or pharmacy change, send that request through Sara or the patient portal. Stimulant refills require a visit every 3 months. There is a $25 charge for stimulant refills written outside of scheduled visits. All other refills require a visit every 6 months (or more depending on each situation). If you have not been seen in that interval, you will receive a call from Sara asking you to schedule.

Active patient status: You must be seen for a visit every 12 months to remain an active patient in the practice. Those who haven’t been seen in the past 12 months will be changed to inactive status and may have to reapply for active patient status.

Emergencies: If you have an emergency, go to the nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1, the national suicide prevention line, 9-8-8, or the Colorado Crisis Hotline: 1-800-273-8255.

HIPAA: We offer HIPAA compliant records and communications through the Patient Ally. You can send secure messages and download copies of your lab results through this portal. All new patients will receive an invitation to establish an account.
